[Exclusive] After LEE HI & AKMU... Next Line Up is iKON & WINNER

YG's iKON & WINNER - who will be the next YG artist releasing a new album or a new single after LEE HI and AKMU?

YG will be officially releasing LEE HI’s full album “SEOULITE” including its title track “MY STAR” on various music streaming websites at 12 AM on April 20. The offline release of the album will take place on April 27.

YG also announced recently that the siblings-duo AKDONG MUSICIAN (LEE CHAN HYUK and LEE SU HYUN) will be releasing a new song on May 2. It’s been a year and seven months since they last released a song, which was when they released “TIME AND FALLEN LEAVES” in 2014.

Then, who will be the next YG artist releasing a new album or a new single after LEE HI and AKMU?

Star News found out on April 19 that the next YG artist to release an album will be iKON (BOBBY, B.I, KIM JINHWAN, SONG YUNHYUNG, JU-NE, KIM DONGHYUK, and JUNG CHANWOO) or WINNER (KANG SEUNGYOON, LEE SEUNGHOON, SONG MINHO, NAM TAEHYUN, and KIM JINWOO). Which team will go first is still under discussion.

A staff member of YG told Star News, “YANG HYUN SUK is putting a lot of work into the new albums of WINNER and iKON. The albums will be released soon.”

He also said, “The funny thing is that these boy groups once competed on a survival show, and now there’s a chance that they will be releasing and promoting new albums around the same period. YG is putting a lot of consideration into this.”

“As for WINNER, they have announced earlier that they would release many new songs this year and released their new mini-alum “EXIT : E” last February. They’re currently working on their new album to meet their fans’ expectations” he added.

He went on to say, “iKON debuted in September last year, and they achieved so much in such a short time. They are not only holding concerts in Korea but also in China and Japan. Even though they have a busy schedule, iKON is really working hard on making new songs, and it won’t be long until they release a new album.”
